Grab a pan and head for the creek. Tiny Miners is a relaxing gold prospecting game in hand-crafted pixel art. Start with a plastic pan, a shovel and a little claim by Bluebird Creek, and work your way up to heavy equipment, your own hard-rock mine and a trophy case full of nuggets. PAN FOR GOLD BY HAND Panning isn't a button press. Swirl the pan to settle the gold, tip it to wash the gravel over the lip, and stop before you lose your color. Pick the garnets and gems out with tweezers and suck up the gold with a snuffer bottle. FROM SLUICE BOX TO WASHPLANT Set a sluice in the creek, try a rocker box, a highbanker and a dredge you dive with, then lease the Gold Flats and run a full washplant with a dozer, a loader and a haul truck. Clean up your concentrates on a shaker table and a spiral gold wheel, then melt them down and pour your own buttons and bars. HUNT WITH A METAL DETECTOR Sweep the sagebrush hills, the ridge and the desert washes. Learn to read the tones and target numbers, pinpoint the find and dig it up: gold nuggets, old coins, Civil War relics, rings - and plenty of bottle caps. GO UNDERGROUND Lease the Bonanza Lode and mine it in first person: drill the face, load and blast it, set timbers, muck the ore into carts and follow the vein. Push a placer drift into a buried gravel channel and clean the bedrock cracks by hand. ROCKHOUNDS WELCOME Stake gem claims for jade, agate, jasper, opal, thunder eggs and fossils, then cut, polish and set your stones in your own lapidary shack. A WHOLE VALLEY TO EXPLORE Drive between your camp, the town of Goldbrook and the far claims. Ride an ATV, take your dog along, sell to Rosa at the assay office as gold prices rise and fall every day, and visit South Pass City, inspired by Wyoming's real gold-rush town, with a museum full of local history. Silver, platinum and copper come out of the gravel too. There are dozens of goals, step-by-step guides and an in-game wiki to keep you going. No enemies. No game over. Just you, the creek and the gold.
