Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using XCT Live ("the Service"), operated at xct.live, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description

XCT Live is a community tool that lets you browse Xbox marketplace data, view Game Pass catalogs, and optionally upload your personal Xbox collection data. Core features are free; some features require an XCT Pro subscription (see section 4).

3. Accounts and Sign-In

You can create an account and sign in in several ways:

• Username and passphrase — a local account on the Service.
• Email address and passphrase — you must confirm the address by clicking a link we email you before it can be used to sign in or recover an account.
• Google — you sign in with your Google account and Google confirms your identity to us. We never see or receive your Google password.
• Xbox / Microsoft — see section 6.

You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for everything done through your account. One person should not hold multiple accounts to gain an advantage in community features.

4. XCT Pro Subscriptions and Payment

XCT Pro is an optional paid subscription that unlocks additional features. It is offered on a monthly or annual basis. The price, currency and billing interval are shown to you at checkout before you pay, and that is the price that applies to your subscription.

How payment is taken. Payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe-hosted checkout pages. Your card details are entered on Stripe's systems and are never sent to, seen by, or stored on XCT Live's servers.

Renewal. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, until you cancel. Monthly plans renew monthly; annual plans renew yearly.

Cancelling. You can cancel at any time. Cancelling stops future renewals; your Pro features remain active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and are not pro-rated or refunded for the unused part of that period.

Refunds. Except where a refund is required by law, payments are non-refundable. If something has gone wrong with a charge, contact us and we will look at it.

Price changes. We may change subscription prices. A change never affects a period you have already paid for; we will tell you before a changed price applies to a renewal.

Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, Pro features may be suspended until payment succeeds.

Some members support the Service through Ko-fi instead. Where a Ko-fi membership grants Pro, the same access rules apply, but billing, renewal and cancellation are handled by Ko-fi rather than by us.

5. User Data

You may upload Xbox collection exports (library, play history, order history) to the Service. This data is stored on our servers and accessible only through your account. You retain ownership of your data.

6. Xbox Account Linking

When you link your Xbox account via Microsoft OAuth, the Service receives a limited authorization token to access your Xbox profile information (gamertag, avatar, achievements, and related public profile data). You can disconnect at any time.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Abuse, disrupt, or overload the Service
• Attempt to access other users' data or accounts
• Use automated tools to scrape or bulk-download data from the Service beyond normal usage
• Upload false, misleading, or malicious data

8. CDN Sync & Leaderboard

CDN Sync is a voluntary community feature. Data you contribute to the shared CDN database is visible to other contributors. Points and leaderboard standings are community features with no monetary value.

9. No Warranty

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uptime, data accuracy, or availability. Xbox marketplace data, prices, and Game Pass listings are gathered from public sources and may be incomplete or out of date.

10. Limitation of Liability

XCT Live and its operators are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to data loss, account issues, or reliance on marketplace data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Third-Party Services

The Service interacts with Microsoft/Xbox APIs. Your use of Xbox features is also subject to the Microsoft Services Agreement and Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Signing in with Google is subject to the Google Terms of Service. Subscription payments are subject to the Stripe terms, and Ko-fi memberships to Ko-fi's terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or abuse the Service. You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time. If you hold a paid subscription, cancel it as described in section 4 — deleting your account does not by itself cancel billing held at Stripe or Ko-fi.

13. Changes

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
