Budbrain's Chess

Budbrain's Chess is a chess game with a hundred levels — from around 150 ELO for beginners up to 1900 for club players. The warm parchment recalls an old notebook, and every game is a quiet moment at the desk. It starts gently. In the first levels the opponent plays with a handicap — without a queen, without knights, or with nothing but a king and pawns — so a first game is winnable. From there he grows stronger level by level, and every stage of ten levels brings a board of its own. ★ How to play 1. Click a piece — every move it may make lights up 2. Click a lit square and the piece goes there 3. Before every game you both roll; the higher roll starts 4. Win in few moves and you earn three stars ★ Help for every skill level The Hint button suggests a good move when you are stuck. Your own pieces under attack are ringed in red. Any move can be taken back, the board can be turned around, and your position is kept: stop in the middle of a game and you carry on from exactly there. ★ Three stars and a gallery Every game you win is rated one, two or three stars — depending on how few moves it took you. Use the hint and you get at most one star; fair play counts. And every game you win is kept as a board, with time, moves and stars.
