112 Ocean Avenue, Long Island, 1974. You have twenty-eight days in a house that does not want you, and the house is paying attention. A retro point-and-click horror adventure drawn in the palette of a 1980s home computer - sixteen colours, hard dithering, one warm light against a lot of dark. WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT The house is not a script. Most of what it says to you is written the moment you act, so it answers what you actually did rather than what somebody anticipated. Break the mirror, pray in the basement, shout at the dark - it has something to say about all of it, and it is rarely what you expected. Some of what you try opens rooms that were not there before. When it does, that room becomes part of the house for everyone who plays after you. The map grows. You are not the first person through the wall, and you will not be the last. WHAT YOU DO - Explore thirteen hand-painted rooms, and however many the house has grown - Fourteen verbs, and a house with an opinion about all of them - Find six pieces of evidence and get four of them back to the fireplace - Or take the axe. Or simply leave, and live with that - Four endings. Three you choose, and one the house chooses for you - Twenty-eight nights, and the house takes them off you when you look away Every room is drawn, not generated from a template. The clock runs. Night is worse than day. A NOTE ON THE SUBJECT This is fiction, inspired by a case that is a matter of public record. It names no real person and re-enacts nothing that happened to them. Six people died in that house and this game does not use them as material. It is meant to unsettle. If that is not what you are after, this is the wrong game.
