Whole Ball

Guide a ball that never stops. The ball rolls on its own and never halts. You never touch it — you place gates in its path, each one turning it ninety degrees, and steer it across every pill on the screen before the timer runs out. Twenty-six screens, each a different problem: slime that spreads while you think, jumpers that teleport the ball across the field, accelerators, reversers, one-way floors and traps, and corridors one cell wide where a badly placed gate locks the ball in. Four difficulties. On SUPER HARD the mouse stops working entirely and the cursor answers only to the keyboard. Every screen was transcribed cell by cell from the 1980s original this game is built on, and the simulation's constants — the ball's speed, its size, the cost of placing a gate — were measured against it rather than invented.
